Moved to the outfield on a permanent basis, the gifted all-around athlete can play any of the three outfield positions and may back up an infield position on occasion ... Keyed a win vs. Temple with a clutch pinch hit single and run batted in during the Arizona tournament ... A quiet, but confident leader, Shupp is another of the junior class whom Coach Wilson looks to for skillful and thoughtful calm for her teammates in the face of pressure or adversity ... Did not meet minimum playing time to be considered Academic All Big 12, but is an incredible student, maintaining a Dean's List overall g.p.a. and earning the distinction again in the fall of the 2007 season.
2006 (Freshman)
A truly versatile athlete, she spent time learning Coach Wilson's pitching style, but found her way onto the field as an outfielder and as a pinch-hitter ... Was 2-for-3 with two RBIs and a run scored in the win vs. Northern Colorado ... In her first game as a collegiate pitcher in middle-inning relief, she struck out four in 3.2 innings vs. No. 19 LSU ... Earned President's List or Dean's List honors each sememster thus far at Tech.
