Her game-saving catches in the Big 12 Tournament earned her the respect of even the opponent's fans: a shoe-string grab to save a game-winning run against No. 5 Baylor and then a dramatic over-the-fence catch to record an out instead of a would-be winning home run against No. 7 Texas A&M ... Early in the season she had a 5-game hitting streak and finished the year with a .300 average and 24 hits ... May be forced into the infield this year because of injuries, but her speed and success as an outfielder are unarguable ... An Honors College student at Texas Tech, she currently sports a President's List g.p.a. (which means that it's perfect).

Competed in softball, basketball, cross country and track at Episcopal High School in Houston ... Was her high school's female athlete of the year twice (2005 and 2006), along with the 2006 MVP of her softball team (which won its conference three consecutive years), she was twice her basketball team's MVP was all conference for three years in both sports and for a year in track ... Graduated Summa Cum Laude and entered Texas Tech as a part of its prestigious Honors College.
