2008 (Sophomore)
Athletic speedster started every game in the infield after being moved there at the end of fall...Saw the majority of her time at shortstop...Second Team All-Big 12 selection...Named to the Academic All-Big 12 First Team...CoSIDA/ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District VI Softball First-Team selection...Hit .328 for the season...Tied for first in the Big 12 in triples with four...Those four triples also tied the Tech single-season record for three baggers...Ranked second in the conference in hits with 65...Her 16 stolen bases put her seventh in the conference, while her 47 runs scored ranked third...Drove in a career-high seven runs...Finished the year with 21 multi-hit games, including six three-hit games...Had a career-best seven-game hitting streak from March 29 to April 10...Opened the season with a 2-4 showing against Washington...Had six straight multi-hit games Feb. 16-24, including games against California, Washington and Missouri...Went 3-for-4 against New Mexico at the Lobo Invitational and against Stanford at the Fullerton Worth Invitational...Turned in three multi-hit games in the Hawai'i Spring Fling Tournament to be selected to the all-tournament team...In Hawai', she went 3-for-3 against Maine, 2-for-4 against Texas and 2-3 against North Carolina...Also picked a career-high two RBI against Maine...Went a combined 4-for-8 with a double and four runs scored to help Tech record its first-ever season sweep of Nebraska...Finished a combined 5-for-6 with an RBI and four runs scored against Texas State...Went 3-for-4 with two triples and an RBI in the final game against Baylor to help the Red Raiders sweep the Bears...Went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI in a win over UT-Arlington...Picked two hits in three trips to the plate in a win over New Mexico...Ended the season on a three-game hitting streak.
2007 (Freshman)
Her game-saving catches in the Big 12 Tournament earned her the respect of even the opponent's fans: a shoe-string grab to save a game-winning run against No. 5 Baylor and then a dramatic over-the-fence catch to record an out instead of a would-be winning home run against No. 7 Texas A&M ... Early in the season she had a 5-game hitting streak and finished the year with a .300 average and 24 hits ... May be forced into the infield this year because of injuries, but her speed and success as an outfielder are unarguable ... An Honors College student at Texas Tech, she currently sports a President's List g.p.a. (which means that it's perfect).
High School
Competed in softball, basketball, cross country and track at Episcopal High School in Houston ... Was her high school's female athlete of the year twice (2005 and 2006), along with the 2006 MVP of her softball team (which won its conference three consecutive years), she was twice her basketball team's MVP was all conference for three years in both sports and for a year in track ... Graduated Summa Cum Laude and entered Texas Tech as a part of its prestigious Honors College.
