Ashley Gordon arrives at Tech after leading Richland College to the 2006-2007 NJCAA Division III National Championship earning her 2006 NJCAA National Coach of the Tournament and NSCAA Coach of the Year honors. While also at Richland, Gordon served as a staff coach for FC Dallas from 2003 to 2007 where her husband, Aaron, was the Director of Coaching. FC Dallas is the second largest youth club program in North Texas. Prior to FC Dallas, Gordon was the girls' technical director for the Cobb Futbol Club in Atlanta from 2001 to 2003. From 1998 to 2001, she was a staff coach for the Dallas Inter Soccer Club under then director of coaching Aaron Gordon where both helped lead the squad to numerous state and regional championships. Gordon has also served as a coach for both the Region III Olympic Development and NTSSA State teams. As a player, Gordon helped lead Duncanville High School to the 1990 Texas State Championship earning her all-state honors and a scholarship to Southern Methodist University. While with the Mustangs, Gordon was a four-year starter on a team that qualified for the NCAA Tournament three times, with one appearance in the Round of 16. Gordon earned a Bachelors of Arts degree in Psychology and a minor in history in 1994. Following her career at SMU, Gordon played semi-pro for the Dallas Lightning of the W-League from 1995 to 1998 and then the Texas Heat in 1999. Gordon has also played for the 1990 US National Pool Team, 1993 Olympic Festival team and the Olympic regional team from 1988 to 1996. Gordon is originally from Dallas, Texas and currently holds a USSF "A" License. Aaron and Ashley Gordon have two daughters, Addison (7) and Avery (3).
