Aaron Gordon comes to Tech from FC Dallas of Major League Soccer, where he was director of coaching for their youth club program the past three years. FC Dallas is the second largest youth club in North Texas.

Prior to his stint at FC Dallas, Gordon was the assistant coach of the Atlanta Beat of the WUSA where he worked alongside current Red Raider head coach Tom Stone. As the Beat's number one assistant, Gordon's contributions were key during Atlanta's three-year run in the WUSA. Daily training, head of scouting, and film breakdown were just some of the duties Gordon performed for the Beat.

Before arriving in Atlanta, Gordon was the director of coaching for Dallas Inter Soccer Club, where he oversaw a program that won many state and regional championships. In addition to his duties at Dallas Inter, Gordon was the head coach of the Women's Texas Lightning team of the W-League. With the Lightning, Gordon led his team to back to back United States Amateur Championships.

As a player, Gordon grew up in Dallas graduating from Lake Highlands High School. After high school, Gordon went on to Hardin Simmons University and then transferred to University of South Carolina in Spartanburg. In 1997, Gordon received a B.S. in Kinesiology from the University of North Texas. After college Gordon played professionally in the USL playing both indoor and outdoor. In 1996, Gordon led the USL indoor league in goals.

Gordon holds a USSF "A" License and a USSF Goalkeeper Diploma. Gordon has also served as a Region III staff coach.

Gordon is married to Ashley Gordon and has two daughters, Addison (7) and Avery (3).
