SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - The Texas Tech men's tennis team fell 4-1 to San Diego State Saturday at the Third Annual Gaucho Tennis Classic, hosted by UC Santa Barbara. The match was the third in as many days for the squad in the tournament after advancing in the consolation bracket with a win against Colorado Friday.

The match played with just five singles in action. Junior Petar Danolic claimed the only victory for the Red Raiders, dropping San Diego State,s Bobby Hrdina 6-4, 6-0 in No. 1 singles. Both Tylir Jimenez and Adam Baranowski pushed their opponents to three sets, but fell in the last set.

Texas Tech will begin its final stretch of Big 12 matches next Saturday, April 4 against Oklahoma State in Stillwater, Okla. The team will remain on the road for the remainder of the season, playing Oklahoma April 5, and ending with Kansas and Missouri the following weekend before heading into the conference tournament.
