Texas Tech's 6-2 win over Oklahoma snapped the Sooners four-game winning streak at Dan Law Field. The Sooners lead the all-time series 27-23-1 but the Red Raiders own an 11-8 advantage at Dan Law Field.
Freshman right-hander Chad Bettis celebrated his 19th birthday in fashion this afternoon as he logged a career-high seven innings to earn his fourth victory of the season. His last win was at Texas A&M back on March 16 in the series finale against the Aggies.
Senior first baseman Jason Seefeld slugged his ninth home run of the season today in the bottom of the eighth. Six of his nine home runs have come in the month of April.
Logan Leslie's pinch hit two-run single in the sixth marked his fifth hit as a pinch hitter this season. He now owns a 384 average in that role (5-for-13) and leads the team.
Tech allowed its lowest run total (2) in a Big 12 game since allowing two runs in a 3-2 win over Missouri back on March 29.
