  • Texas Tech now leads the all-time series against New Mexico State 39-13 and earns a two-game sweep of the Aggies coupled with yesterday's 12-2 win at Dan Law Field.

  • Junior left fielder Chris Richburg became the first Red Raider to hit for the cycle in nine years. The last Tech player to accomplish the feat was Jon Weber against Southwest Texas State back on April 20, 1999. Richburg singled in the second, doubled in the third and tripled in the fourth before hitting a solo home run in the seventh. He becomes just the fifth player in school history to ever hit for the cycle and finished the afternoon 4-for-4.

  • The Red Raiders hit five home runs in the game and that marked the most for Tech since launching six against TCU back on Feb. 29, 2004.

  • Texas Tech has now scored 47 runs in the last three games after only scoring 44 total runs in the 11 previous games combined.

  • Sophomore shortstop Chris Hall hit his first home run of the season in the top of the second inning and finished the day 3-for-3.

  • Roger Kieschnick, Willie Rueda and Jason Seefeld all had hits in the game to extend their current hit streaks to eight games each.
