Recap |  Box Score |  Photo Gallery

  • Texas Tech now leads the all-time series with UC-Riverside 2-0. The last meeting between the two clubs was back in 2001.
  • Texas Tech's last win in the bottom of the ninth came on a game-ending home run by Doug Thennis last season against No. 16 Nebraska (March 15, 2007).
  • Junior right fielder Roger Kieschnick hit his Big 12-leading 10th home run of the season tonight and collected RBIs 31 and 32. His double in the first inning gives him 47 in his career and he is now just one shy of tying Keith Ginters mark of 48 career doubles which ranks second all-time at Texas Tech.
  • Sophomore shortstop Chris Hall tied his career high for doubles in a game as he hit two on the night. He previously hit two doubles in a game at New Mexico back on Feb. 27, 2007.
  • Junior left-hander Cory Large earned a no-decision this evening as he allowed three runs on four hits over five innings of work and was in line for the win until the eighth inning.
