2007 SEASON
Ended the season as Tech's hottest hitter as he hit .343 over the final 21 games of the season and added a team-high 25 RBIs...his hot end to the season carried over to the summer as he was named the Texas Collegiate League Player of the Year after a stellar season with Wichita Falls...finished the 2007 season with a .333 average along with 27 hits, five doubles, one triple, three home runs and 28 RBIs...IN BIG 12 PLAY; made 12 starts in conference action and ended with a .306 average along with 11 RBIs...joined Texas Tech's everyday starting lineup as the left fielder on April 22 against Kansas...since joining the lineup he has emerged as the team's hottest hitter...enjoyed a career day against Dallas Baptist on May 1...hit his first career grand slam and ended the team with seven RBIs...the seven RBIs were the most by a Tech player since Michael Mask totaled seven in a game against Howard Payne back in 2004.

Made solid contributions to the Red Raider offense as a true freshman...played in 30 games while making a total of 20 starts...12 of his 20 starts came at first base while the other eight were as the designated hitter...posted a .270 batting average (20-of-74) and ended the year with four doubles, one triple, three home runs and 18 RBI...tallied a .473 slugging percentage and a .391 on-base percentage...registered four multiple-hit and six multiple-RBI games on the year...had one of the hottest bats on the team at the start of the season and that led to him getting a starting nod in 18 of Tech's first 20 games of the year...helped propel the Red Raiders to an 18-6 win over New Mexico in the season opener by going 2-for-5 at the plate with a season-high four RBI and two runs scored...arguably his most memorable game came at No. 21 TCU on Feb. 15th when he helped lead Tech to a 7-4 win over the Frogs with three RBI...IN THE BIG 12...saw limited action in conference action as he played in just eight games and made two starts.

HIGH SCHOOL
Was a three-sport standout at Frenship High School just outside of Lubbock...played varsity football, basketball and baseball...his senior year he tallied a .489 batting average with 39 RBI, six home runs and 13 stolen bases...was an All-State selection his junior and senior years...First-Team All-District, First-Team All-City and First-Team All-South Plains.
