Shawn Lindsey begins his second year as the Athletic Trainer for Red Raider Baseball. Lindsey, a native of Stamford, Texas, came to Texas Tech last spring after spending the fall of 2006 as the head athletics trainer at Midland Lee High School. Prior to his stint at Midland Lee, he served in the same capacity at Abilene Cooper High School for 11 years where he joined the Cougar staff back in 1995. At both Midland Lee and Abilene Cooper, Lindsey oversaw the entire sports medicine program for all varsity and junior varsity sports. Along with his duties, he was also in charge of varsity football equipment and team travel. Lindsey earned his bachelor's degree in Kinesiology from Angelo State University in May of 1992 and later earned his master's degree from ASU. He is a current member of the National Athletic Trainers Association and the Southwest Athletic Trainers Association. |
