Any donation to the Red Raider Scholarship Funds makes you a member of the Red Raider Club. All donations to the Red Raider Scholarship Fund are directed to academic scholarships for Texas Tech's student-athletes and count towards your membership.
Your support via Red Raider Club membership is essential to funding the present and ensuring the future success of Texas Tech Athletics.
ANNUAL GIVING
The annual membership program of the Red Raider Club was designed to provide continual annual support in the area of scholarships for student-athletes at Texas Tech. Each year that tuition and fees rise, the Red Raider Club's responsibility for funding all Athletic scholarships grows.
By the 2006-2007 academic year, the cost of a single scholarship had risen above $15,000.
Because of the rising cost of education and increased pressure of funding Collegiate Athletics, the Red Raider Club and Texas Tech Athletics is counting on you for two things:
- Join the Red Raider Club today - at any giving level, AND
- Renew your Red Raider Club membership annually.
When you give to the Red Raider Scholarship Fund, you also are paying for your membership in the Red Raider Club. As a valued member of the Red Raider Club, you will receive many exciting benefits throughout the year.
Membership Basics
Membership benefits are based upon a drive year and benefits year. Each drive year runs from June 1 to the following May 31st with benefits being dispersed in the following June 1 to May 31st cycle.
The deadline for annual membership each year is May 31st. Benefits will begin being dispersed each June.
Red Raider Club benefits are determined by what total amount you donated to the Red Raider Scholarship Fund during the previous June 1 - May 31st cycle. For specific benefits, please see the Red Raider Club Benefits Chart.
For your convenience, we accept all four major credit cards and bank draft. In addition, we can set up an automatic payment schedule to fulfill your pledge and automatically renew it each year if you would like. Payments can be monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, or annually.
WAYS TO GIVE
- Cash Gifts
The most common method of giving is through outright cash gifts. The Red Raider Club accepts the following:
• Cash (please do not mail cash, but deliver in person instead or send a money order)
• Check - personal or cashiers
• Credit or Debit Card - Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover
• Bank Draft
For your convenience, the Red Raider Club can set up automatic credit card charges or bank drafts towards your membership. These can also be renewed each year until you tell us to modify or cancel your automatic payments. This allows you to stay at your preferred giving level from year to year without receiving statements or remembering to make your donation each year.

- Matching Gifts
Did You Know you may be able to have your donation doubled or even tripled by your employer?
Many employers have a philanthropy program that includes a matching gifts component. You can take advantage of your employer's philanthropy program and decide where part of the funds go by submitting a matching gift form with your donation to the Red Raider Scholarship Fund.

To obtain a matching gift form from your employer, you may be able to print it from the search link above. If it is not posted online, please check with your personnel office or on your company's intranet. Some companies use an online submission process in which they will send verification to you and the non-profit and others use a form that must be printed and filled out, then submitted to the non-profit for verification.
Since all Red Raider Club donations run through Texas Tech Foundation, Texas Tech Foundation will be the recipient organization when filling out a matching gift form or request. The designation, purpose, or program will be The Red Raider Scholarship Fund. Texas Tech Foundation's EIN number is:

In addition, most companies with matching gift programs will match to the athletic scholarship fund while some will not.

- Non-Cash Gifts
- Securities, Stocks, and Bonds
Texas Tech Foundation will accept gifts of securities, stocks, or bonds on behalf of the Red Raider Club.
Texas Tech has accounts with major brokerage firms. Have your broker call the office of Institutional Advancement for details and information on how to transfer. Their phone number is (806) 742-1780.
If stocks are to be delivered by the DTC directly to the Texas Tech bank account, contact the Office of Institutional Advancement to have delivery instructions faxed or emailed to your broker or financial advisor. Their phone number is (806) 742-1780.
To make a gift of physical securities on hand:
Physical stock certificates may be sent by certified mail or overnight express, with endorsement on the back of the certificate(s) exactly as stated on the face of the certificate(s). Do not fill in any other blanks. No stock power is necessary as long as you do not fill in Texas Tech's name on the back.
You may also make a gift of mutual funds, non-marketable stock, or closely held stock. Contact the Office of Institutional Advancement about giving these types of securities at (806) 742-1780.
- Real Estate
It is possible to donate your personal residence, second home, income property, or vacant land to benefit Texas Tech Athletics. To inquire about donating real estate, please call the Red Raider Club at (806) 742-1196 or toll free 1-877-554-3850.
- Personal Property
Personal property of value can also be donated to Texas Tech Athletics. This may include, but is not limited to, artwork, rare books, valuable collectibles, and other items with a tangible value. In addition, intangible personal property such as copyrights, patents, and mineral rights may be donated, yielding continual income to Texas Tech Athletics. - Corporate/Foundation Gifts
On many occasions, a Corporation or Foundation may wish to make a large gift to Texas Tech Athletics.
These types of gifts can make a significant impact on the future of Texas Tech Athletics through new or upgraded Athletic facilities or creating an endowment that will generate annual scholarship money in perpetuity.
Benefits of a large Corporate or Foundation gift can vary, based on gift designation and amount of gift. There are many opportunities for organizations to become involved in Texas Tech Athletics, including naming rights, sponsorships, and large unrestricted gifts that will create immediately tangible benefits to the organization.
At the same time, your organization can play a very important role in funding the present and ensuring the future of Texas Tech Athletics.
